I’m doing life before it does me!

Life
Your Life Represents a Drop in the Ocean

Christian dialogue–

Christian 1: Oh, Sister Pleasant; How are you doing?

Sister Pleasant: Oh, I’m doing life!

Christian 1: Doing life?

Sister Pleasant: Yes, I’m doing life before it does me.

Christian 1: …What?

Sister Pleasant: I have the choice to choose what I will be subjected to in life because of the authority I carry and am under. I have a covenant with God, and the terms are for me to subdue and dominate the earth and every living thing, right? Well, is not life living?

Christian 1: Yeah…..

Christian 1: I have taken every situation in life that is contrary to the Word of God, and using the Word and my Faith, made my life line up with the Word of God. So.. I’m doing life.

Who is the ultimate supreme authority? Jesus. (Matt. 28:18)
Where did He receive it from? God. (John 3:35)
I am only under subjection to God and those He has given and ordained authority over me. (Titus 3:1)
I must first recognize God’s authority and where I’m placed in that chain of authority. Then I can invoke that authority by submission to God and the authority that He has placed over me.
What is the purpose of the authority? The person under authority carries out the plans and purposes of the person who has Authority. (Gen. 1:126)

Now, authority can be permanent, (Heb. 1:8) seasonal, (Rom 13:1-7) situational, (Eph. 6:12) temporal and positional. (Jude 1:6)

In order that I might maximize my dominion, (Gen 1:26) I must operate and be in sync with the authority I’m under. When I’m under authority, I’m not limited to the positional authority I carry, but have actually expanded the authority and anointing I have from the use of those above me. Jesus is my supreme example. Remember in the word how He said ‘I only do what I’ve seen my Father do, and I only speak what my Father has spoken.’? (John 14:10 – 12)

Now positional authority (Matt. 6) the Lord’s Prayer ‘Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ Earth is subject to what is being done in heaven, but only when we invoke its authority on earth.

Example: Authority in word application, (Matt. 8:5-13, Luke 7:1-10)
Both Matthew and Luke relay the story of the Centurion. In Luke 7:3, It said that the centurion had heard about Jesus (Romans 10:17) and sent the Jewish rulers, knowing the power of his own (asking) words. He knew he did not have to be there for his words (asking) to be carried out by Jesus. The centurion reiterates this by telling Jesus that he does not have to come into his house but just send the word (just like he did to get Jesus to come). Then the centurion explains authority to the one who created authority.

What I want to point out in Matthew 5:9 is that the centurion explains how he is under authority. He knows and explains how it works by using spoken words that recognize authority and manifest as a result of that authority. Now Jesus’ reply in verse 10: “… I tell you solemnly, nowhere in Israel have I found faith like this. And I tell you that many will come from east and west to take their place with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven; but the subjects of the kingdom will be turned out into the dark, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.” And to the Centurion, Jesus said, “Go back, then; you have believed, so let this be done for you.” And the servant was cured at that moment. Now the Centurion recognized that Jesus was operating under the parameters of another Person’s Authority by using their Words and Authority. Meaning, once the Words left Jesus, the words continued to carry the authority by themselves as the person they represented. That Person was God.

The centurion only operated under the parameter of whose authority he was under also, that’s why he could see it. Another example would be; Mama tells one of her children to ‘go tell your bother to come here.’ The child goes to the door and screams to his brother, “Mama said come here.” Now, whose authority did the child coming depend on? The Mama or the sibling? The sibling called him but he came on the authority of Mama and her order to come. Also, Jesus references the chain of command or authority by saying at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven, the subjects of the kingdom would be turned out. The key word is ‘subjects’, those who are in the chain of authority but did not recognize or believe Jesus’ authority as that of God’s. The centurion knew that the believing of the word causes the conviction of the word, which brings the word to pass. Jesus called this conviction faith.

The authority of Jesus was questioned Mark 11:27-33 Chief priest and scribes question the authority of Jesus by asking Him whose authority was He operating under. Jesus replied whose authority was John operating under they refused to answer because it would show that it was from God. Jesus answered by saying, “Nor will I tell you my authority for acting like . Showing that it was not His divinity but authority that allowed Him to do what He did.

John 9:30-34 reads; The man replied, “ Now here is an astonishing thing! He has opened my eyes, and you don’t know where he comes from! We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but God does listen to men who are devout and do his will. Ever since the world began it is unheard of for anyone to open the eyes of a man who was born blind; if this man were not from God, he couldn’t do a thing.” “Are you trying to teach us, “ they replied, “and you a sinner through and through, since you were born!” And they drove him away. The Power is in the authority! The same authority that we have!

Jesus said believe in me by the works that I do so you Philip can do the same works – John 14:4-29
Works are the witness or evidence of the authority that Jesus has that should be seen in us when we believe. My works show my authority and my authority should have works that follow – John 10:25,37, 38, John 5:17, 19

The chain of authority can be found in the following John 12:44-50, John 11:41-43, John 1:26, 27 John 10:1-5, 14-18, but in John 2:4,5 talks about the wedding at Cana and how the mother of Jesus forced His Hand. Now was it the authority of a mother or a mother knowing the authority of her Son (mother over Him used words from Gen 41:55 to seal her request). John 3:29-36 John the baptist said, “A man can lay claim only to what is given him from heaven.” then he continues with establishing the chain of command or authority.

Faith and authority are synonymous, I walk by faith which causes me to walk in my authority where I use my faith to operate my authority. When I have the God kind of Faith (Mark 11:22) I have the Faith of God and His Authority.

In John 6:19-21, Jesus walked on the water and translated the boat to shore as a son of man walking in the authority of God causing the laws and physical properties of water, buoyancy, gravity, and time to uphold Him. He didn’t break these laws and principles they bowed to Him because He had subdued them. He owned them, besides upholding every thing by the power of His WORD. Just like we do; what you subdue you own. Jesus superseded the abilities of these laws and principles. He didn’t have to break them so why would you break what you own?

Covenant gives you the parameters of how to negotiate in your authority Gen 1:26-28 John 10:34

Submission and obedience and Love are the same John 15, John 10:27

GOD IS LOVE, LOVE CONQUERS ALL,

Much love,

Pastor Harris

Sometimes we let life just roll over us, or we go along with the momentum. The same program day in and day out. It leaves us lost, feeling vague and so incomplete. Life was not made to live it like that. Don’t wrap life around you and get lost! No, wrap you around life and make life happen… Instead of having fun make some fun for you and others. Live! Live! Live, you ony have this one life and one chance to be all that God has made you to be!
    much love
