Many people want ‘change’ in their lives. The problem arises when they have to pay the price. Change is not neutral, it’s biases. It only comes to those who are willing to put in the effort and time. In order to get something you have to do something. You heard of the cliché. ‘If you don’t start nothin; won’t be nothin.’
So how do you start your change? You begin with your thinking because it affects your believing. Believing anchors your Hope (Romans 15:13). While in the world you thought and responded like the world. The world is headed to destruction and it wants to take you along with it. So, you need a change.
King James Version (KJV)
7For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
How do you change your thinking? You use the Word of God. The anointed Word of God breaks (destroys) the bondage of sin (missing the mark)that have held you captive to failure.
Amplified Bible (AMP)
2Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
The following will be an example of how a person comes (‘the process’)to know Jesus. We refer to this person as a believer once he/she knows Jesus. How does this occur? Continue reading and the revelation of ‘change’ will be evident.
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Here are additional verses:
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
This is Paul talking in reference to salvation by grace through faith (Eph 2:8). Notice that you ‘believe in’ and with your heart (spirit), you speak from your heart with your ‘will’ by your mouth. Your will is a part of your soul (soul is mind, will, intellect and emotions). You are a triune being, You are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. (1 Thess 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ being.)
In 2 Cor 4:13 Paul is still talking about salvation it reads: We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
It states, ‘according as it is written’, where else is this written? David said this in: Psalm 116:10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
We can reasonably deduce that the consequence of believing is speaking. I used 2 witnesses to confirm this in 2 Cor. 4:13 and Psalm 116:10 (Matt. 18:19, Deu. 17:6, 19:15)
