You are the Light of the World! Great! How? Why? {PART 3}

Explode the Darkness in You with God's Light!

 We know that Jesus was on a mission, what I call his ‘mission statement’ when He came into the world. (Luke 19:10, 1 John 3:8) Everything God does is purposed for a perfected end. This includes your ‘perfected end’ or ‘being perfected’ as well. Remember from the previous post {PART 1} Jesus said in John 8:12 that, I am the Light of the world. This means He came to dispel all darkness in every realm that ‘He exists’ in and that ‘exists in you.’ (Matthew 28:18) This works out well for you because you exist in three realms, you are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. This is confirmed from the scriptures below in the Amplified Bible :

Luke 19:10

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.

1 John 3:8

[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

Matthew 28:18

Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

 

Before we can understand how this affects us we must first understand what is going on. Remember in all your getting, get understanding.

Proverbs 4:7

The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation).

REMEMBER THE FOCUS OF JESUS BEING ‘THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD AND THE LIFE’ ACCORDING TO JOHN 1:4, 8:12. We some times live dark lives knowingly (sins of commission), unknowingly (sins of omission), sickness and negative situations and people. How do you change it? You begin with your words. Are you speaking what you see, darkness or asking God to remove the darkness? Let’s examine why that des not work. Look again at

Genesis 1:2

 The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.

In verse three of Genesis one, God’s response to the darkness is not one of shock, dismay or, ‘Oh, myself it’s dark out here.’ God responds with what He wants in verse three.

Genesis 1:3 (AMP)

And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.

This ‘Light’ is not the sun, moon or constellations from verses 14 – 19 of Genesis one on the fourth day; this ‘Light’ brought life as we read in the verses following verse three. 

Notice how nothing negative came from God in response to verse two, Why? Negativity will begat negativity and darkness can never dispel light. Light spoken over a dark situation will dispel it and bring life to it.
