How to Pray for Ailing Loved Ones ‘Part 2 -… As Long as It Takes’

God can handle it!

Why Peace? Peace is where Jesus the Healer abides. Peace is a spiritual state of awareness of where you are in relation to what you are going through. It is like taking a step back and seeing yourself as a ‘Victor’ instead of a ‘victim.’ A ‘Victor’ can always step back and view what he/she is going through and how it will bring him/her to their next victory in ease. A ‘victim’ can’t step back because he/she is afraid and lacks the confidence to see themselves free from any situation; life has swallowed them up. I left off talking about being in Peace when you pray from John 14:27.

God has this!!! He knew about this test before you did and He’s not scared. Here’s your part, have Divine Peace and rest in His Word:

Hebrews 4:1-3

Amplified Bible (AMP)

1THEREFORE, WHILE the promise of entering His rest still holds and is offered [today], let us be afraid [to distrust it], lest any of you should think he has come too late and has come short of [reaching] it.

2For indeed we have had the glad tidings [Gospel of God] proclaimed to us just as truly as they [the Israelites of old did when the good news of deliverance from bondage came to them]; but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith (with the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it; neither were they united in faith with the ones [Joshua and Caleb] who heard (did believe).

3For we who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest, in accordance with His declaration that those [who did not believe] should not enter when He said, As I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter My rest; and this He said although [His] works had been completed and prepared [and waiting for all who would believe] from the foundation of the world.

You enter God’s rest by trusting and believing that He will do what He said He would Do.  This is having Faith in God (His Word) to be your God in action. This rest you are entering into is the finished work of Jesus when He said from the cross it is finished.

John 19:30

Amplified Bible (AMP)

30When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, It is finished! And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

Meaning there is nothing left for you to add to it, it’s complete and whole. There is nothing missing, nothing required from you…total Peace. This was designed to leave you in a state of divine “Peace.” Entering into ‘His rest’ means you cease from your works of trying to make it happen. You uphold what God said in His Word in Peace.

John 14:27

Amplified Bible (AMP)

27Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

You are upholding the fact that through every promise God has said in His Word is True… right NOW in your life!!! Why? This is the reason God sent His Son to destroy the works of the devil so that you can be free and in Peace. God knew you couldn’t do it so He sent someone He trusted and knew that could get the job done.

1 John 3:8

Amplified Bible (AMP)

8[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

Now start forgiving everyone who has hurt you even if you don’t feel like it. Forgive them by Faith. Pray:

Father God in the name of Jesus, _______________ has hurt me and I forgive them by Faith. Thank you Jesus for erasing all hurt and healing my broken heart according to your Word in:

Mark 11:22-26
Amplified Bible (AMP)
22And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].

23Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.

24For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].

25And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop.

26But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.

Forgiving is a choice to sever yourself from the pain that was designed to victimize and destroy you.Now trust God to heal your brokenness from it making you whole and complete. This maintains your divine Peace and allows you to receive because you have dumped the junk (unforgiveness) that was stressing you out making you sick, lonely, dejected and a victim.

Much love,
