‘God wink’ on My Bithday

Dad’s Memorial (Click on it to see)

Thank you all so much for the Birthday wishes that I have received. God has been so good to me. Most of you know that my father (Willie Gene Harris ‘Red’) transitioned to heaven (11/18/2011), Dad would always call me and sing ‘Happy Birthday.’ If I missed the call he would leave it on the answering machine then as years went by he would leave it on the voicemail. I so missed these last few years of Dad calling and singing to me. But thank God for a God wink (Click to see the site) I didn’t really believe that it was real till it happen to me. A God wink is where you see the Hand of God move in your life to encourage, or bring you closer to a need, or your destiny, or a love one (in my case), etc…

A couple a days before my birthday someone (Irvin Jackson) made a comment on a Testimonial video from my Dad’s home-going service. It started a barrage of comments and the video went almost viral. There were additional loving comments of respect and honor mentioned about him as well. It hurt at first to be reminded but then… I listen to the song he sung in the video and…. The tears flowed. I was so busy taken care of everyone else that I never cried for him when he was transitioned to heaven. Well, it was like God letting me know that Dad was singing to me in the video. The song he sang was ‘I want to be just like Jesus.’ And it reminded me of the souls that he and Mom had lead to Christ (about 7000.) They too, were born again and he was singing and celebrating their new life from heaven.

God showed me that my father was closer to me now then he ever was in this Life. My Dad is fully in Christ Jesus and that is where I reside… In Christ Jesus!

John 14:18-20 The Message (MSG)

18-20 “I will not leave you orphaned. I’m coming back. In just a little while the world will no longer see me, but you’re going to see me because I am alive and you’re about to come alive. At that moment you will know absolutely that I’m in my Father, and you’re in me, and I’m in you.
So, as time goes on I’m encouraged that my Parents and the Love ones who have passed on before me are cheering on to finish this race in Christ Jesus!

Hebrews 12:1-3 The Message (MSG)

Discipline in a Long-Distance Race
12 1-3 Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

Thank you everyone for commenting on the video it helped me to enjoy his testimonial of salvation and my birthday was filled with joy in remembering his love for me.

God is Love, Love conquers and covers it all…
much love…
