I want you to start making proper decisions borne out of your heart. Your heart is the center of your soul, which happens to be your mind. Your soul comprises your mind, your will, your intellect, and your emotions. If you make decisions out of any area other than your mind you are operating out of the accessories of your soul. They are designed to tell you what is going on around you like the signal lights on your car. Your car doesn’t move because you turn on the signal lights. Your car moves because you turn on the engine. The engine works like your mind to take you where you want to go in life. When you turn on your emotions to make a decision you are an emotional wreck (DRAMA.) Allow the accessories (emotions, intellect, will) to help navigate you through your decisions and you will not look like what you have been through in life.
Look at the verse below. The ‘counsel of the ungodly’ is you walking in your fleshy emotions, or worldly intellect. Renew your mind with God’s Word! The ‘sinners walk’ is you too when you don’t trust or have faith in God. Finally the ‘scornful’ is you when you didn’t get your way the last time you prayed so you are doubtful.

Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
