From my heart to yours: Today, make a concentrated effort to enjoy life. No matter what comes your way, step back and see how it is shaping your life. Do not jump in right away; stop and pause and think about how it can make you a better person. Life is good!
Your response to life has made you what you are… good, bad, indifferent, loving, hateful, kind, gentle, mean, resentful, vengeful, etc. Your response will determine your outcome. Your response is formed by your perception of your life and what it is doing to you. How you see your world will be how your world treats you–thus, this will be how you live.
James 1:2, tells you to be joyful… In the Greek (the original text) it means to reason ‘it’ (situations) joyful because you’re working with the situation, which gives you the opportunity to create insight into the situation joyfully. In short cooperate with the situation till you get a handle on it to make it into the best scenario possible for you.
This is how you grow spiritually not physically. Your physical self (body) is getting its cues from the accessories of your soul. Your soul comprises your mind, your will, your emotions and your intellect; the heart of your soul is the mind and everything else are the accessories. When you take advantage of the situation by being joyfully constructive, it’s like dousing water on a fire, giving you the chance to build what you want out of the ashes… This way you grow stronger in your resolution of who you are in faith through endurance and steadfastness and patience.
