My Aunt Anna Belle’s Eulogy of Love

1425538_10202999398451091_1653243734_nThis is the Eulogy I had prepared for my Aunt Anna Belle but the Holy had His way and it was changed. I wanted to share with you all what she meant to me. So here is what I had prepared for her in love and in the joy of being in her life. . .

I was asked to do my Aunt Anna Belle’s Eulogy, it brought a flood of memories. . . good life altering memories. Memories that changed my perception of life and the role I was to play in life. I knew her as ‘My Aunt Anna Belle’ stern but gentle, kind, truthful, loving and watchful. We are here to celebrate a life deserving of a celebration. A celebration of a glorious life full of hope and trust in God. She always said God could do anything but fail. She knew her limitations, but her determination to go beyond that and succeed was found in God!

How do you measure a life? How do you value a person’s life? By the moments created through time!…

The measurements used to value a life are often equated with success, riches or fame in this world. I measure the value of life by the moments spent with/in God, family, friends and even strangers; they are like pearls strung across time. We sometimes miss the moments and opportunities to string memorable pearls of memories.

My Aunt Annabelle did not miss an opportunity to string her pearls. She created memories with all of my siblings, which is a great feat in itself because there were eight of us. She made life feel adventurous with her stories. She seized the moment to invoke a change of mindset, which caused a voluntary change in behavior and attitude. This is known as repentance in the Word of God! She knew how to make you love God greater than anything in the world.

Mark 12:30-31Amplified Bible (AMP)

30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul (life), and with all your mind (thought, understanding), and with all your strength.’31 This is the second: ‘You shall [unselfishly] love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Aunt Anna Belle taught by example! She lived the life of Love. Granted, she had struggles and they were many, but through Jesus Christ she overcame and made peace with her sorrows. . .

Memories help us to direct and correct the present as we learn to respect the future.

Deuteronomy 4:9Amplified Bible (AMP)

9 “Only pay attention and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your grandchildren [impressing these things on their mind and penetrating their heart with these truths]—

Aunt Anna Belle told me Jesus loved me and that I could be great in God. Yes, my Mom and had instilled this in me at various times in my life. But she kindled the fire and kept it burning when my Mom and Dad transcended to heaven. She kept hope alive with her calls to check on my girls and me… We prayed and sometimes cried. She would call me to pray for others and had me call them to counsel and pray for their healing. She would say to me afterwards, ‘I knew you would know how to handle it.’ Her words of encouragement helped keep me focused on serving God and others.

I will forever be grateful for the confidence she patiently built in me through her persistence. I am fond of the memories we shared praying to positively impact the lives of God’s people. I cherish the relationship we had building each other up and serving God. Her love and concern for her family guided her relationship with us and I am thankful for her steady watchfulness and prayers.

She lived a glorious life, sharing so many precious moments with her beloved family and friends. Each of us holds her memory in our hearts and together we are the pearls strung across time, which she diligently placed through her nurturing love. As we gather together to celebrate her life, we see the passion she had for God’s people. We can rejoice in the success of her life’s journey because each one of us treasures a piece of her memory. Our memories of time spent together with her reveal to us that we were her life’s work and calling. Her love for God is reflected in her steadfast love for us. So we celebrate and love on one another, today as we remember the glorious life of Anna Belle Brady.

God is Love, Love conquers and covers it all….

Perception! How You See Your World

Perception! How You See Your World
Perception! How You See Your World

From my heart to yours:  Today, make a concentrated effort to enjoy life. No matter what comes your way, step back and see how it is shaping your life. Do not jump in right away; stop and pause and think about how it can make you a better person. Life is good!

Your response to life has made you what you are… good, bad, indifferent, loving, hateful, kind, gentle, mean, resentful, vengeful, etc. Your response will determine your outcome. Your response is formed by your perception of your life and what it is doing to you. How you see your world will be how your world treats you–thus, this will be how you live.

James 1:2, tells you to be joyful… In the Greek (the original text) it means to reason ‘it’ (situations) joyful because you’re working with the situation, which gives you the opportunity to create insight into the situation joyfully. In short cooperate with the situation till you get a handle on it to make it into the best scenario possible for you.

This is how you grow spiritually not physically. Your physical self (body) is getting its cues from the accessories of your soul. Your soul comprises your mind, your will, your emotions and your intellect; the heart of your soul is the mind and everything else are the accessories. When you take advantage of the situation by being joyfully constructive, it’s like dousing water on a fire, giving you the chance to build what you want out of the ashes… This way you grow stronger in your resolution of who you are in faith through endurance and steadfastness and patience.

James 1:2-3Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

2 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.

3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.

From My Heart to Yours -WE

img_2886Today, everyday for me, begins with prayer for my family, friends, country and world. You have to begin each day outside yourself with compassion and thankfulness of life. Life gives you an opportunity to change what is and what was. Everyday of life is a breath worth taking and giving back into the world from which you drew it.

You matter to us ‘all’ and ‘all’ should matter to you. When we get it, human life exists for every human being born on this planet we see purpose in/of life. Selfish ambitions are the black holes you create in your world. It sucks the very life out of you and everyone around you… Life does not begin with you… but it will end with you… Life begins with us. The human race is one race and we need to love and care about ‘us’ together before it’s too late… Remember ‘I’ is the ‘you’ and the ‘you’ is the ‘we.’ #GodIsLove #MuchLoveMuchHopeMuchPrayer

Genesis 4:9 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” And he [lied and] said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

God Sanctioned, A God Blessed New Year!

new-yearI wanted to say more than ‘Happy New Year’… I waited to reply thinking, ‘Lord what do I say?’ The word Happy is so fleeting, so temporary and it has little to say about what the New Year will bring. I was perplexed at a crossroad. I know this year will be like no other year but I know you were chosen to be here at such a time as this. You are the remnant which the bible talks about; you are the strong, the steadfast, the unmoving, and the always abounding in the Lord… You are God’s people in whom He Loves and will lead us out of every situation that will occur.

How then do we proceed in this New Year? We proceed in the same manner in which we have always proceeded in every New Year. This manner in which we proceed in is Love… Love over comes. It has never been overcome. Its resolve has always been the same… that is to love. Love is not the least but the greatest position we can take. As we Love God with our all it reaches the tangible state beseeching us to love our neighbors, as the Love of God possesses us to love our selves.

2016 unveiled the evils that were festering in every domain in our society. They were always there. God said judgment begins first in the house of the Lord. Man has always used in the name of their God to do their worst in every religion. So we are here now… the darkness has encroached upon us as the Prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 60:2.

Isaiah 60:2 King James Version (KJV)

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

What are we to do with this darkness? Look at Isaiah 60:1.

Isaiah 60:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)

A Glorified Zion

“Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come,
And the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you.

Whenever it grows darker the light will always appear brighter. Darkness cannot overcome light. Light will always overcome darkness. Light has its advantages. Light brings clarity, direction, and revelation. Light uncovers the darkness. It refuses to allow darkness to exist. This Light will strengthen us! The Light was spoken in the beginning of our time when the world was dark. It is the light that will strengthen our faith to arise and shine. Genesis 1:2-3 and Isaiah 9:2 is where this is found.

Genesis 1:2-3 King James Version (KJV)

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Isaiah 9:2 Amplified Bible (AMP)

The people who walk in [spiritual] darkness Will see a great Light; Those who live in the dark land, The Light will shine on them.

Who is this Light? Look at John 1:1-5.

John 1:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

This divine Light is Jesus! Jesus is your peace, your joy, your faith, your hope… and your resolve…

So have a God sanctioned, a God blessed New Year!

Part 6, in God’s Remnant…Never A Majority…A Ram In The Bush… My Friend Tom

Are you in the ‘Race’? What race? It is the race of life… the entire Human Race… We are running side by side to pass the baton to the next generation. A baton of love, respect, and unity…

Well, this is the conclusion of Tom Muller’s response to the 2016 Presidential Election. He may not talk like you but he is deserving of being listened too and respected for what he has to say. I pray Tom’s candid response has broaden your sense of reality; diversified your thoughts and empowered your voice of reasoning to speak against all injustices toward all the peoples of this United States of America. In short, I hope your resolve is to make America a better place for all… all Americans.

My Friend Tom Muller:

How could you spew such hate at the scandal free Obamas for 8 years and then elect this family? You fucking hypocrites. How do you think y’all would have spun it had Obama showed up with five kids from three different mothers? Y’all picked on Michelle’s physical appearance (and she is freaking beautiful) while completely ignoring the fact that she is the first first-lady to go to Ivy League school for both undergrad and law school and then you nominate a nude model trophy wife for first-lady? That’s a far cry from Nancy Reagan or Barbara Bush. There is a line in the Republican bible, Atlas Shrugged, which like the real bible, most conservatives love to cherry pick from but have never read in its entirety, that says, “You can tell a lot about a man by the women he spends time with.” It is a heterosexual favored line but it still hits pretty hard. Trump sees women as trophies and objects. He would consider most of you women who voted for him fat pigs. Think about the message this election sent to women and girls all around this country and all around this world. Y’all should be freaking ashamed of yourselves.

So I need help here. I need true conservatives to get back to the basics personally but leave religion out of politics. Look at where Gary Johnson stands. That’s where the GOP should be standing. Freedom of religion is already in the Constitution. When Pence goes back to pushing this “religious freedom” to discriminate against gays shit, shoot it down and make it clear that we never want to see that again. Vote people out when they propose that trash. When black people stand up and simply say, “Hey, stop killing us” listen to them. Black people aren’t just making this stuff up. They have no reason to and nothing to gain from this race card that people keep accusing them of playing. Don’t try to drown them out with ALL lives matter or BLUE Lives Matter nonsense. Besides, we missed y’all last week when that white dude shot those cops. Where were ya? When the KKK walks around in sheets, understand that this is a threat to Americans and not ok. Start fucking looking out for people who don’t look like you and start speaking up.

Liberals, get off your damn high horses and look at the elitist sellouts you have running your Democratic Party. Nobody trusts them. You shouldn’t either. Being right on the social issues is important but so is having a vision for this country and having the character and integrity necessary to make people believe in it and you. When you say all the right things but don’t practice what you preach, you’re no better than those religious hypocrites on the Right. Talk is cheap. If you truly care, get the fuck out there and help people. While you’re out there volunteering, you’ll come across lots of good church folk doing the same. You’ll see a religious person living their values and they’ll see a liberal doing the same. That’s how we can start getting things moving again. Actually putting in work together and earning a mutual respect that helps us listen to each other for once.

Both major parties have hit rock bottom. My hope is that we can all rebuild these parties together and do so with our commonalities in mind. Let’s develop principles that we can all agree on and build on those. There will be disagreements and that is fine. But if we take this opportunity to start fresh, I think we will find that we are all sick and tired of the constant fighting. We will finally clean house and rid ourselves of all the forces that keep us fighting while they profit from it. Let’s get rid of biased media. Let’s get rid of politicians making millions of dollars selling us all out. Let’s get rid of neoliberalism and finally wake up to the fact that we have been going 8 years back and forth between these two parties for half a century and a handful of people still own everything, including those two parties.

I will never root against this country. I hope that I am wrong about Trump and the types of behavior that his election will empower. I hope that the spiteful side of Trump really digs into this Presidency so he can say, “Fuck you. I told you I could do this.” But no matter what, I hope that we can all start loving one another for once. We can’t make America great again because it simply has never been great for all groups of people. Hillary was just as clueless when she said that America is already great. The voters thought otherwise Hillary. The truth is that greatness still awaits us. I believe that we can get there. I think that most people are awake now thanks to Bernie and Trump. I think that when the dust settles and everybody is done blowing off steam, we will come together like never before. I think we have to. I think it is our only choice now.

Please start looking out for one another. We’re not nearly as different as they try to make us feel.

I love you all very much.

Part 5, in God’s Remnant…Never A Majority…A Ram In The Bush… My Friend Tom

Focused… Always stay focused…

This is Tom Muller’s 4th installment of his amazing response to the 2016 Presidential Elections.  He is a voice, a rare voice of reason, of substance and commitment among many voices you hear…He is articulate, intelligent and a highly respected  voice. Why, you may ask? He gets it! He is not betting on any one race to succeed… He wants acceptance and justice for all; He wants humanity to succeed as one, everyone is important.

My Friend Tom:

And I want to take a second to draw a parallel here. I hear a lot of Trump supporters claiming that they are able to ignore all of the racism, xenophobia, misogyny, and “locker room talk” because Trump is an outsider! This trust fund baby born into a life too big to fail is one of us! He cares about jobs! That’s why he sent so many jobs overseas and hired undocumented workers in his private company where he answers to nobody! And the big one, he’s anti-establishment! Interesting. That’s not exactly a new strategy, that whole anti-establishment deal. In fact, it was already used to beat Hillary before…back in 2008. Where were all these anti-establishment folks back then? I don’t have the numbers in front of me but I’d wager there’s not a whole lot of overlap in the 2008 Obama anti-establishment and the 2016 Trump crews.

This is not about taking the government back for the people. Trump is not the people or for the people. Trump is Trump and out for Trump. What this is really about is about taking back the government for white men. Oh geez, there’s that race card from your buddy Tom, the white apologist. I am still not sure what this card gives me since it pisses off most every white friend I have but here I go playing it again. You think racism sucks? The worst most white people will ever experience is having to talk about racism and when they do, they cry out that it’s reverse racism. It’s tough being white these days. Those whiny minorities will just never understand.

So, where were all you anti-establishment folks in 2008 to support Obama? Oh yeah, making sure that your party lined up against every single thing that he would ever propose so they could blame him when nothing got done. Boy, you really wanted to shake up that system bad back in 2008. Nothing screams anti-establishment like lining up the entire damn establishment to go against the anti-establishment pick. So no, it’s not that. I wish it was but it isn’t. Not for most any way.

The honest truth is that there are a whole lot of white people who never even noticed the government until a black guy dared to do everything we have lectured black people to do for years. Broken family? No excuse! Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and make it happen! And he did but I guess we weren’t counting on that and he climbed too high. And then other black people felt like they too had a shot at equality and seized the moment to speak up. Did we listen? Hell no. We mistook us losing privilege as our rights being under attack. You wanna talk about a sense of entitlement? Suddenly, with a black in charge, we all realized how much ground we had lost. And after 8 years of a black we were going to nominate a woman? Hell fucking no. NOW we had to clean up politics. NOW we had to pretend that everything was in the shitter and that Hillary was the first and worst at everything. The same woman we said had never passed anything her entire time in politics was now responsible for all of it! NOW we had to draw a line and go to war if necessary.

Which is funny. We constantly lecture groups to “get over it” after centuries of having no power and we lose our shit after not having it for 8 years. Maybe we need to get over it and over ourselves. Maybe we need to stop and listen to ourselves playing whiny victim and stop projecting that stereotype onto other groups. If there are thin skinned whiners in this country, it’s us white people. If you’re worked up and angry reading that, I’m talking specifically to you. You see, you don’t get to shit on everybody else and call it, “just telling it like it is” and then cry like little bitches when it comes back around. What goes around comes around. Own it you fucking hypocrites.

And that’s really the great divide now. The GOP has just gone way too far off the deep end. The Pope and now even Fox News are too liberal for this party. There is an angry, bitterness driving the party and outside of Kasich, few have stood up and said boo about it. There is no leadership. No guts. No pride or decency. How could you possibly nominate and then elect a President with such a horrible opinion of so many Americans? Don’t you have Hispanic friends? Don’t you have friends or family members who were POW’s? Don’t you have friends who are Muslims? LGBT? Black? Women? Handicapped people? How could you possibly elect Trump President if you care about any of those groups? How can you even look at kids knowing you did this?

Part 4, in God’s Remnant…Never A Majority…A Ram In The Bush… My Friend Tom

If you are unaware this is Tom Muller’s 3rd installment of his amazing response from the latest 2016 Presidential Elections.  His response is designed to unify us through dialogue and listening to one another’s grievances and the acceptance of us all being equal… There is no ‘you’ or ‘me’, it’s ‘us’. It’s we the people…

Featuring Tom:

I am not here to stump for Bernie though. I am seeing a whole lot of fellow Berners throwing around talk of a landslide had he been the Democratic nominee. I love Bernie. To me, he is a principles based person who has been on the right side of things for a long time. He is a good caring, honest person. I have loved him for a long time now and love him more and more each day. But whether you feel that, “socialist” is a fair label or not, it most certainly would have been thrown around 24/7 in attack ads. While a whole lot of my Republican friends refused to vote for Trump, they almost certainly would have voted for Trump had Bernie been on the other side. There is also the whole atheist/Jew deal as noted above. Liberals played that angle. You think everybody else wouldn’t have? Hell, Trump played the whole Star of David angle with Hillary and I’m pretty sure she’s a Baptist and/or Satanist depending which emails you read.

As an atheist myself, I can tell you that this country is not ready for all that. This country thinks less of atheists than Vegans just to put this into perspective. And if Jewish people were truly respected in this country, we would not have horrified them all by supporting a nominee, now President elect, who treats Muslims the way he does. Jews know how that ends up. So we should be honest and appreciate that right or wrong, Bernie would have had a really tough time winning too.

I think that is a war I would have proudly fought in though. I think we would have had the highest voter turnout of all time had that Bernie vs. Trump election ever happened. I think that would have been incredible. I just cannot say honestly that we would have won that war. I have lived all over this country and we are far too in love with neoliberalism and crony capitalism to know how it would have shaken out. He would have probably done much better than Hillary in Middle America though. To end this thought on a positive note, the youth get it. The youth love Bernie and the 18-25 group even painted Hillary’s America blue yesterday.

If the Democrats want to move forward together, they need to acknowledge all of this. They need to stop blaming one another. I see this going both ways but what blows me away the most are all the Hillary supporters who have been blaming Bernie and us Berners for over a year now. The irony is not lost on me when a whole bunch of liberals who love to throw around the word, “privilege” constantly talk down to our grassroots movement that raised a quarter of a billion dollars without panhandling to big money groups. We paid for our pick. Who paid for yours?

I see Hillary supporters who blame Bernie for not doing enough. This floors me. After the total screw-job the DNC gave him, he took the highroad and STILL went out there campaigning all over the country and doing his part for Democrats and Hillary especially. You want to talk about him not doing enough? Where the hell was Hillary? She sure as hell was not in Wisconsin. She didn’t even bother to visit the state once after the primary. Not once. Say what you will about Trump, and I was most certainly wrong about this myself, but he definitely out hustled Hillary. She had ads mocking him for sitting up in his tower and not talking to regular people. Take a look at the blue states he flipped and count up each candidate’s visits. If there was anybody sitting up in an ivory tower, it was Hillary.

But Berners, as much as I do not like Clinton or want to reward the DNC for their dirty ways, I have to wonder what we were thinking letting Trump win this one. Bernie negotiated most of his platform onto Hillary’s. You can say that you do not trust her to execute it but I disagree. I think that a politician’s top priority once elected is to get re-elected. I think that she absolutely would have had to implement most of that platform knowing that if she didn’t, a fractured Democratic Party would break and she’d be easily defeated. I would add, easily defeated to somebody other than Trump.

Yet, a whole lot of us ignored Bernie’s warnings. We love Bernie because he is a protestor through and through – from civil rights in the 60’s to Standing Rock today. He is honest and he cares about us. But when Bernie, who is out there and knows where this country is better than any of us, told us, hey, this is NOT the time to protest, we left him. Now, we have a whole lot of social issues back on the table waiting to potentially get axed with Pence in the mix. Social issues, like equality are sadly seasonal in this country. To say otherwise is naïve. We really let down a whole lot of good people yesterday. Liberals arguing over finer details while completely ignoring the bitter white storm that was out there brewing waiting to crush most everything we have fought for over these past 8 years. Trump and Pence are in the White House now. That happened. We need to own our part of that.

But to be fair, Trump would have carried exactly zero states running his scare tactic, scapegoat, bullying campaign through the DNC. Liberals are disgusted by that behavior. And what is most disappointing to me is that conservatives are not any more. They embrace it. You can disrespect everybody now and still win over what used to be a pretty religious base. When Trump got a pass for mocking a POW for being captured, I spoke up about that. I said that nobody in the GOP I grew up in could ever get away with such a thing. I knew there was more behind it. I was ignored and told that Rubio was going to win big and become the GOP nominee. But that never even came close to happening. Do I think there is a racial reason for it? I did and still do.

Look at what put Trump on the map politically. He called for our first black nominee with a real shot to win the Presidency about his birth certificate. I cannot recall that ever happening before. Even now, years later, after almost all of us can admit that it was pretty fucked up, Trump brags about it. He brags about getting Obama to show it. In fact, if I asked you Obama’s middle name, you’d probably know that cold. Think about why that is for a second. Trump also questioned Obama for getting into Harvard. He wanted to see his transcripts. Think about that too, especially all of you that just nodded. A man with a 200-word vocabulary whose father most certainly bought his way into the Ivy League is calling out a guy who was the President of the Harvard Law Review? Really? And now he has to hand over the Presidency to this piece of shit. Great job America.

Part 3 in God’s Remnant…Never A Majority…A Ram In The Bush… My Friend Tom

My feature blog today is written by Tom Muller who rose to the occasion following the elections expressing his poignant opinion. He is a straight forward guy, no holds barred. He’s kind and he has a good loving heart. This is his 2nd installment in a 5 part series.

Here’s Tom:

I think the only way for us all to finally come together is for all of us to acknowledge where we are and be honest about the bubbles that each and every single one of us live in. There are studies out there that show that the average person only processes 1% of their surroundings. Think about how much we all constantly miss. Have you ever noticed that when something clicks, you suddenly see it everywhere? We often mistakenly think that this something is something new but that is not true. In many cases, it has always been around us, we just missed it. For me, that is one of the best experiences in life. Eye opening moments like that are what I live for. I love the short term discomfort followed by long term perspective. It can be like being born again. But I fear that too many of us avoid those moments like the plague. We don’t want to rethink anything or have to admit that we might have spent most of our life wrong about something. My hope is to push myself and others now through this write up.

So here we go…

I am going to start with the Democrats. Democrats can pretend that the only problem is that a bunch of idiots voted for that idiot whisperer, Trump. Well, as a party, you nominated one of the only people who could still lose to Trump. A more accurate statement is that the DNC crammed their establishment pick down our throats. If the DNC did not want Bernie to run in the Democratic Primary, they should have simply told him no. After admitting him, if the chairs of the DNC could not remain unbiased and treat all candidates fairly, they should have simply stepped down as Tulsi so honorably did. They did not do that. Instead, they conspired against Bernie and did major damage to their party. They also lost millions of voters like myself who only even considered their party because we felt that Bernie was a once in a lifetime candidate. If you just rolled your eyes, pace yourself, this whole section is dedicated to you.

I am not so worked up over the debate questions being leaked ahead of time to Clinton. I do not think Bernie was caught off guard by any of the questions anyway. In fact, as DNC emails have shown, even when they gave Bernie tougher questions, meant to sabotage him, he knocked those questions out of the park too. One such example is when the DNC thought it would be good to push him on whether he is an atheist or a Jew because a lot of Americans would not care which he was and dislike him either way. He gave one of the most spiritual answers most of us will ever hear. It was beautiful. The DNC’s treatment of Bernie was downright ugly.

God’s Remnant…Never A Majority…A Ram In The Bush… My Friend Tom (2)

I would like to introduce you to my friend Tom Muller. He is a great guy. What makes him great? His heart, his love for people and his sincerity with that love toward those that don’t look like him. He has a heart of gold. I have not censored his writing to do so would be an injustice to his soul.

Keep smiling…

Here’s TOM…

This one is going to be long, very long. I am not even sure if Facebook will allow it to post. But I am asking that you take a few minutes to read this sometime this week. I want to go back to writing jokes but I need to get this off my chest first. I have friends who need to hear a lot of this being said and I am going to speak up for them. They need to know that people still care about them. They need to know that I and others are not going to sit back and watch their lives be pushed aside yet again. I am not going to pretend that this election has not put a whole lot of my friends in danger. It has. It really fucking has.

I stayed up very late last night trying to process this election. I think I was in shock about how much I wasn’t in shock. I’ve seen and felt this bitter white storm brewing for a long while now. Well, here it is. I thought that on Election Day I had overreacted and that our country would rise up and do not the right thing but at least the best thing given the circumstances. We didn’t.

This write up is not going to be properly framed. I’m not going to ask questions and talk about things carefully. I’m going to make what most people will consider broad sweeping generalizations when they hit them and hard hitting truths when they hit others. This piece should have something in it to piss off each and every one of you reading it. It is pissing me off writing it, so we’re even. I am writing this because I truly want to help us. I believe that you and I are connected. Anything I do that that hurts you, hurts me. Anything I do that hurts me, hurts you too. We all live, love, and hurt together whether we think so or not. We are all connected. So this is as much me talking to various versions of myself as it is to you. I am not perfect. I have most certainly played a role in all of these issues I am about to talk through. I am taking ownership of everything in this. I am 100% part of these problems too.

As you read this and get uncomfortable, I am asking you, as a friend, to keep reading. I might be wrong. Hell, I am wrong more than most people I have ever met. Being wrong so often has helped me keep learning and growing so I’m not going to stop now. However, here and there, I am right. I called a whole lot of what was unfolding over these past 18 months. Unfortunately, I saved my major wrong for the end where I tried to pick the winner out of two losers.

I think it is time for some honesty all around. A lot of this honesty is not going to be nice. It is going to seem like I am trying to break us all into groups and divide us when the truth is, WE ARE ALREADY DIVIDED. We need to stop calling everybody else divisive if they speak up about their problems. Talking about racism IS NOT RACISM. We need to quit trying to make every damn thing about ourselves. Shut up and listen. Treat them as a fellow human being instead of only listening long enough to decide which bucket to callously throw them into. Give people a minute to get through their thoughts. We all have that minute. We waste years and years, generations and generations, fucking people over because we all refuse to take a minute here and there to hear each other out. This has to stop and it has to stop right now. People’s lives are being ruined. They are not getting a fair shake because we don’t want to break up our routine. We need to break out of this and show a damn sense of urgency before it is too late.

The Ending of 2015… Is The Start of 2016 (Part 2)…

new youIt would behoove you to read Part one of ‘The Ending of 2015… Is The Start of 2016’ that being said let’s move on to where we desire and need to be in 2016?

We left off with God is always making things new, Revelation 21:5. He is a God of Perfection. He rights the wrongs in our lives and it takes the time, which translate to the process.

I said previously, I don’t throw people away. I let them hang on till they let go unless God tells me to let them go. Why? I studied art. The creation of any masterpiece begins with a thought, which is replicated in some form of medium to be the image of the original thought. Take for example an oil painting. You have the preparation gathering all the materials, and then placing that thought onto the canvas of the artist choice. For me there was a communication from my creation or painting which made me adjust what I was creating. Some colors didn’t’ work well together so I would have to add or take away pigment or brush. The canvas spoke back to me and I answered with more or less color, changing brush strokes, defining definition, more or less shading or whatever it needed to look like the original thought. You get the picture. The Painter was in control not the painting. The painting belonged to the Painter.

This is why I don’t get rid of people in my life. It’s God’s decision. People will bring out the best or worst in you and vice versa. They might be in your life to refine some of those crude ways of yours. They could be in your life to toughen up those unusual soft parts, the underbelly, so you can save someone’s life or your own. You might need them ten years from now but you cast them aside or out before the need presented them to you. You didn’t let the relationship mature, or set, allowing time, the process making you and them perfect. Now you are flawed and they are broken. Due season has come and you are left wanting… Remember it’s the Painter’s discretion when to blend, when to add or when to take away. The Painter is the one with the best vantage point of sight. He stands back and looks at the painting. He judges. The image can’t judge. It’s an image it’s void of the substance or the original thought. That’s why some people are seasonal they just didn’t blend well.

I also said I repelled a lot of people. I just don’t fit in with misery. My love, overly joyousness, enthusiastic, optimistic disposition contradicts their self-loathing, discontent, mean attitudes and prideful dispositions. Why? God, the Painter said I was made in His Image, after His Kind. What image or Kind is that?

Genesis 1:26-28 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

In Genesis One verses one through three we see the beginnings of the image of God.

Genesis 1:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

In verse one above we See God is a Creator. Verse two God is a Spirit. Verse three God responds, speaks positive change into His situation or creation (like the Painter and His painting) with corresponding results. So, you are a creative spirit with the ability to respond positively to your situation evoking change, revelation, clarity in your life and the lives of others.

This is why God cares more about how you respond to any given situation than what the situation is or doing to you. He can handle what is being done to you.

Psalm 55:22 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).

You are made in God’s Image the situation shouldn’t break you it should make you. The earth being dark and void didn’t break God. He said what He wanted and He received it!!! Some of you have spoken the destruction that has destroyed you and you are still speaking it today. It has left you sick. You see when you squeeze an orange you get orange juice. It stands to reason if you squeeze a Christian you should get Christ. You are where you are because you didn’t speak what you wanted you spoke what was there. You are continuously having and living what you don’t want because you are saying what you don’t want.

The other Image of God is found in 1 John Chapter Four.

1 John 4:8 Amplified Bible (AMP)

The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.]

God moves and does everything out of Love because He is Love. .. To be continued…
