Today I ministered to someone who had been hurt and now was full of anger. This hurt broke their heart. I told them that there are numerous scriptures for God healing a broken heart, but nothing for healing anger, bitterness, resentment, jealousy, envy, or strife. All of the above are attitudes of choice except for the broken heart. We tend to blame others for our attitude thereby giving them power over our emotions. This puts us on an emotional merry-go-round of pain and suffering. And you wonder why people don’t like you. It’s not that they don’t like you; they just don’t want to go along for the ride.
A broken heart is the inner man, the mind, the will, the heart, the understanding of man and there is a remedy to heal the broken-ness.
- Amplified Bible
THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,
Jesus is anointed to heal the broken heart. If you come to Him and give Him your life then He will give you His Life. He as the scripture above says will bind up your broken heart through His love.
- Amplified Bible
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [curing their pains and their sorrows].
Anger is the response to hurt or a symptom of a broken heart. Anger comes from a decision that you make. We are free moral agents in this earth who have been given the right of choice. God does not heal your decisions, He teaches you how to make better ones. Free moral agents, meaning you can choose, but you are born into the bondage of satan and his plans for you.
Deuteronomy 30:19
Amplified Bible (AMP)
19I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live
You see God’s Word (gospel of Good News) shows you the correct response to situations that are overwhelming and painful. These pathways give you His Wisdom and Understanding of the situation so that you are not a victim but a victor. That is the meaning of, ‘opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound’ in Isaiah 61:1.
This is what happens when you choose the following; bitterness, resentment, jealousy, envy, or strife; you evoke the impelled action of every evil work as James 3:16 says:
James 3:16
Amplified Bible (AMP)
16For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.
CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK AND YOU WILL CHANGE WHO YOU ARE!
GOD IS LOVE, LOVE CONQUERS ALL…
Much love,
Pastor Harris
